One of Sydney's most anticipated restaurant openings is giving diners an early taste this weekend. Before Lo Presti's officially opens in Redfern next month, chef Michael Lo Presti is taking over Bar Demo for a one-day-only pop-up preview.

Known for his work at Baba's Place, he'll be serving a selection of bar snacks inspired by the Mediterranean-leaning menu destined for his debut restaurant, which takes over the former Moon Park site and draws on the generous, share-style spirit of Greek hospitality. Expect a first look at the food, alongside cocktails by Bar DEMO's Oliver Churcher, magnum wine pours and a DJ set from Ed Seven.

It's walk-ins only from 4pm, making this your first chance to see what all the Lo Presti's buzz is about before the restaurant opens its doors next month.

Incognito Art Show

Carriageworks, 245 Wilson Street, Eveleigh | Saturday 27 June–Sunday 5 July

Incognito Art ShowImage credit: Incognito Art Show | Website

Incognito Art Show is Australia's biggest and most inclusive not-for-profit art show, and it's landing in Carriageworks this June. The idea is simple—all pieces are sold for $100 each, and the identity of the artist remains anonymous throughout the entire process, only revealed to the buyer after purchase is complete.

Their goal is to provide emerging artists with the opportunity to pursue the professional route, to inspire a new generation of art collectors, and to support local arts organisations by donating 100% of the profits gained. It's a pretty low risk, high reward concept—and the perfect opportunity to dip your toe into the art world.
